Terms
of Use.

Effective September 27, 2026

Use of this website does not create membership, certify a repair facility, authorize use of Guild branding, or create a repair warranty or guarantee.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of thecollisionguild.com, the membership application, and related website content provided by The Collision Guild LLC ("The Collision Guild," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the website or submitting an application, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

If you submit information on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to provide that information and act for that business in connection with the application.

2. Website Purpose

The website provides information about The Collision Guild, its standards, its performance philosophy, opportunities for shops and partners, and the membership qualification process. Website content is general information and may be updated as the Guild develops.

The website is not a repair estimate, repair instruction, technical procedure, insurance determination, legal opinion, safety certification, or substitute for OEM repair information and qualified professional judgment.

3. Membership Applications

Submitting an application begins an evaluation process only. It does not guarantee acceptance, create membership, establish a contractual relationship, or authorize any representation of Guild affiliation.

We may verify submitted information, request documents, conduct assessments or audits, contact references, require corrective action, and accept or decline an application based on the Guild's standards and legitimate business considerations. Applicants must provide accurate, complete, and current information.

4. Independent Shops and Guild Identity

Member shops remain independently owned and operated businesses. A member does not become an office, branch, agent, employee, franchisee, joint venturer, or legal representative of The Collision Guild merely by becoming a member.

While current and in good standing, a member shop may make the following factual statement using its own independent business name:

“[Member's independent business name] is a current Member of The Collision Guild.”

A member may not use The Collision Guild name to represent its business beyond that membership statement. The Guild logo, boxed CG monogram, badge, and other Guild marks may not be used in a shop's business name, identity, building signage, co-branding, advertising, vehicle graphics, uniforms, or other promotional materials.

Membership status, permitted statements, and continuing obligations are also governed by the applicable written membership agreement and Guild policies. If those documents impose stricter requirements, those requirements control.

5. No Repair Services or Repair Guarantee

The Collision Guild does not perform collision repairs through this website and is not a party to repair contracts between a vehicle owner, repair facility, insurer, OEM, or other participant. Each repair facility is solely responsible for its operations, employees, estimates, repair decisions, workmanship, safety, regulatory compliance, customer communications, and warranties.

Guild standards, audits, data review, membership, rankings, status, or other verification activities do not constitute a warranty or guarantee of any individual repair, facility, outcome, cycle time, cost, or performance result.

6. Intellectual Property

The website and its text, design, graphics, logos, marks, standards, frameworks, scoring concepts, and other content are owned by or licensed to The Collision Guild and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for ordinary personal or internal business review, no content may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, displayed, published, licensed, sold, or used to create derivative works without prior written permission.

No license to use The Collision Guild name, logo, monogram, badge, or other marks is granted by visiting the website, submitting an application, linking to the website, or becoming a member.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use the website to:

  • Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized information.
  • Misrepresent membership, certification, approval, affiliation, or authority.
  • Interfere with the website, bypass security, introduce malicious code, scrape at unreasonable volume, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • Use website content or Guild identity in a way that is deceptive, unlawful, or harmful to the Guild, its members, applicants, partners, or the public.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may reference or link to third-party websites, providers, platforms, or resources. They are independently operated, and their content, availability, security, and privacy practices are governed by their own terms. A reference or link does not necessarily constitute endorsement.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, current, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Collision Guild LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of the website, reliance on its content, an application decision, or third-party conduct.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Separate written agreements may establish different rights and obligations for members, partners, or vendors.

11. Changes and Availability

We may update the website, standards, application requirements, or these Terms as the Guild develops. The effective date identifies the current Terms. Continued use after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the website where reasonably necessary.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute relating to the website or these Terms will be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction in California, unless another written agreement applies.
